And yet our holiday homes in the Leeuwenstraat and in the Lange Riddersstraat are located in quiet streets. Just a few minutes' walk away, you'll discover numerous hotspots and hidden squares. And we guarantee you, there are plenty of things to do in Antwerp near the ZaligInAntwerpen holiday homes.

Rent a shared bike to visit all the sights in the City of Antwerp

You can easily visit the city on a shared bike. You can rent shared bikes per day at Velo Antwerp. The shared bikes are spread throughout the city.

De Vrijdagmarkt - The Friday Market

Just around the corner is this slice of Provence in Antwerp with quaint cafes, terraces and with the UNESCO World Heritage Museum of Plantin-Moretus. On Friday morning, the square turns into a open-air auction of old stuff and furniture.

De Groenplaats - The Green Square

Again just around the corner and one of Antwerp's most famous squares with a cosy atmosphere. The cafes and restaurants are dominated by the beautiful Cathedral of Our Lady. You can reach the main entrance of the Cathedral via the super cosy little square De Handschoenmarkt ("the Glove Market"). More squares can be found here.

De Grote Markt - The Big Market

With its historic stepped gables and the famous statue of Brabo in front of the unique Antwerp Town Hall. During the historic city tour of Antwerp you will also learn all about the rich history of Antwerp and its Brabo.

The Fashion District

Shop till you drop! With renowned designers from the Antwerp 6, the fashion district and the Fashion Museum, this is the beating fashion heart of Antwerp. Discover for yourself the fashion district's trendy or stylish boutiques on Nationalestraat, Reyndersstraat and Steenhouwersvest.

Het Eilandje - The Little Island

The North of the city is also buzzing like never before. With a visit to the MAS (Museum On the River), the Red Star Line Museum and the Harbour House you'll be busy for a while. 

De Kloosterstraat - Monastery Street

Eagerly visited for antiques, bric-a-brac and interior design shopping. The Kloosterstraat is also super cosy on Sundays, as all shops are also open on Sundays.

The Theatre District

With the must-visit Bird Market on Sunday on the Theatre Square around the corner from our holiday homes, the international market on Saturdays, the City Theatre and several smaller theatres.

The Meir

Without a doubt the Meir the most famous shopping street in Antwerp and also car-free. All known brands and chains can be found here such as Zara, H&M, Footlocker but also the Shopping Stadsfeestzaal is well worth a visit for a drink, snack or more shopping. In a side street you will find the Rubens House and you'll end up directly in the Theatre District.

Het Zuid - The trendy South District and its museums

The artistic heart of Antwerp with the FOMU (Photo Museum), Muhka (Museum of Contemporary Arts), KMSK (Royal Museum of Fine Arts) and several art galleries. Thanks to its many trendy shops, cafés and restaurants, The South is also a very popular shopping district and entertainment spot.
